Gamejolt

Post by demoyv » 07 May 2018

Gamejolt is site where you can put your own game and share with people, also it has a very large community. Maybe is time to put skillwarz on this site? I put there my own game (not 100% made by me) and I have 3k views and 1.5k dowloads per month. At this moment I have 46.k views and 25.1k downloads. Tt's pretty big success for me, i didn't expect that. You can set description for your game, publish devlogs, add media, packages and earn some money from ads (I already earn 30$ and bought Rocket League).

So what do you guys think?

At this moment game is in "soft launch" state.
I am still fixing bugs and doing some optimization.

Soon i will add game on Gamejolt, Itch.io and maybe somewhere else.
Later on Steam (after i will replace soldier model).

P.S. If someone is good at graphics design (for example photoshop), maybe you can help with thumbnails/logos.
Basically "Skill Warz" with some cool font/effects - something good looking, what will bring attention.

Maybe for thumbnail will be better to make gif with gameplay, it will bring more attention. Something like this:

I don't think that gif's are allowed. Usually, when you submit game, there are specific requirements (format and size) for thumbnails.

Seems that on itch.io gifs are also allowed, but they play only when mouse is over,
so first frame must be thumbnail, or some eye catching moment from video.
